"The hidden city had OTHs." She says defensively.
"We knew that" he says sharply "I want to know how our best Operative who was the only one who knew how to get to the hidden city, is dead and you didn't recover his body."
"There wasn't much..."
"I read you fucking report!" his heavy hand slamming on the desk "missing one arm, most of his right leg....there was enough to carry back here. Or do you think a man who had served his country deserves to rot there in the jungle in some godforsaken place!"
"I was under fire and..."
"And you were pregnant." He studies her face "Yes, I know. You were carrying his child and what's the status of that."
"I'm not pregnant"
"You mean you're not pregnant anymore because you had an illegal abortion done off of Chestnut and 23rd in Philadelphia."
Her face becomes shocked.
"Miss Lee." He says calmly "I didn't get to where I am by 'trusting' what's on paper. I do my homework and I do it well. Now, you will tell me exactly how my top agent died and what you had to do with it. After which, I will determine what will happen to you."
"And what is that supposed to mean?"
"It means what it means." he says pointing to the door.

"What is this place?" Marcus says looking around at the empty lab...but not empty lab.
"Project Squared" Charlene says studying Marcus' body covertly."Squared as in the 2 on top not geomertry."
"What is...or should I say was it?"
"Not sure" she says shrugging her shoulders "but it's the only place in the complex that doesn't have security cams. I heard my boss say it was one of the first projects to get cut by the current administration..."
"So" he says slowly "You got me here, whatchu got to tell me?"
"I'm just saying" she pauses considering her words very carefully "Your wife...what are you going to do about her?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean it's been a day since I told you your son was alive and I noticed you didn't tell her...and I'm thinking it has something to do with male Director Cho and not his wife...assistant Director..."
"What buisness of it is yours girl?"
"Marc..I know you. And I know you thought your wife stopped doing 'soft' ops she didn't...and who knows what she did to get your private workspace...."
"Look Charlie...it's complicated. I went on an op with her and she...." he pauses
Charlene walks up to him and then punches him in the chest. Marcus looks at her surprised. She puffs her cheeks and says "Wanna box?"
"What?"
"Wanna box?" she repeats "You know I earned my job here the old fashioned way...hard work...let's go."
Marcus just smiles until Charlene punches him in the face.
"Oooh getting slow old man" she laughs
Marcus then finds himself laughing. The fake spar for a moment before his phone goes off.
"Damn I gotta go" he says
"Hey" she stops him before he says anything further "You need someone to talk to, or polish up your weak ass boxing skills..."
"Thanks."
Marcus runs out the door. Charlene looks around at the area and says "Squared..."
